Alertus’ Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) Interface takes fire alarm event information from the fire panel, applies innovative logic technologies, and broadcasts messages over multiple communication paths.

The system instantly responds upon activation of the fire alarm panel, recognizes the identity of the device initiating the fire alarm, and translates commonly used fire panel abbreviations into an intelligible spoken message. Messages can include data about the nature and location of fire alarms.

FACP Interface Features

Notification Coverage: Fire alarm integration allows fire panel events to activate the Alertus System, extending to the Alert Beacon and text-to-speech functionality to provide spoken voice output. The system also ties in with existing strobes and sounders
Broader Application: The Alertus System can process many different types of fire panel codes to send a variety of pre-configured message distributions using Regex with prioritized conditions
Integration: The fire panel interface is compatible with existing fire alarm panels and PA systems and requires little to no alteration to existing systems
Monitoring: The Alertus System enables the fire panel to suppress integrated notification modalities such as strobes and sirens in the event of an emergency such as an active shooter situation

The Alertus emergency notification system is designed with integration in mind. The NFPA 72-compliant fire alarm control panel interface connects your mass notification system. It provides a comprehensive method for monitoring your fire panel system to activate and distribute emergency alerts.

Fire Alarm Interface Specifications

The Alertus Fire Panel interface leverages the serial port interface, which is present on most legacy and new-generation fire panels and control workstations.
Alertus Fire Panel Integration is compatible with NFPA 72 requirements and does not interfere with fire panel functionality.
The Alertus solution takes the necessary steps to ensure the Alertus Fire Panel Interface monitors passively and the data flows in one direction only (from the fire panel to the Alertus server)
Alertus securely converts and transfers fire panel data to the local Alertus Server instance for intelligent processing and automation.
